Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2, 1985) is an American actor. The role she played as Molly Solverson, in season one of FX's Fargo the television show, was nominated for Emmy as well as Golden Globe. Tolman is a native of New York. She is the mother of two older and one younger siblings. Her family moved to England in the age of only a couple of weeks old and stayed there until she turned four. Inspired by the 1996 Coen brothers film of similar title, Fargo starred veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman as well as Bob Odenkirk. Tolman was praised for her performance as Minnesota Police Officer Molly Solverson, with Vanity Fair writing that she "calmly and certainly stole the entire performance". She won the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for a movie/ministry, and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her role.
